The Light In Which I Stood

This animation was created in collaboration with the Yale Glee Club and Jamaica Kincaid. I was commissioned to create illustrations and animate scenes for the club's performance, which accompanied readings of Kincaid's poetry. I animated 3 of the 4 scenes, and the scenes with the floating yellow figure were animated by the club's videographer. The work is a mix of vector and digital paintings, animated in both Photoshop and AfterEffects. I created the subtle animations in the vector images and made frame-by-frame scenes. The video and music was edited by the Yale Glee Club.
